I would like to see what you have on your Gibson Family. What part of Virginia were they from? My line traces to James and Margaret Eleanor( Corrie) Gibson of Dumfries, Scotland. James Gibson's will was made Feb 26, 1765 Bedford Co, Va. James and Eleanor were married in Dumfries Scotland, before going to Tyrone Co, Ireland, where they had 3 or 4 of their children. They then all left for Virginia. Their children were: Randall (Randolph) md Mary Crowley, James, John b. c. 1715 d. 1762 Va (this is my line), Archibald, Catherine md Meshack Hale (his will 1813 Davidson Co, Tenn, Elizabeth Candler, Hanner Cook, and son-in-law Joseph Gibson (according to Jame's will). I found a marriage in Bedford Co, Va in 1762 between Joseph Gibson and Inda Gibson, the daughter of John Gibson.

I also have another Gibson line in Virgina. Thomas Gibson, Sr., and his wife Frances. He made his will St. Martins Parish, Hanover Co, Va Nov 7, 1734 . His daughter Mary Gibson d. c 1740 md Richard Brookes d. Hanover Co, Va.
