Funny. You are related to my husband, Edward Lee Seyfried, who descended from the Farrar family of VA. You seem to be related to me through James Gibson. This will please my kids no end. I definitely recall the Katherine Banks, the Royall line and the Isham connection. Years ago, I gave Tony, my son, his father's records, I had collected; so I don't have any idea what may be in my files. I'll drop him an email and ask him. We are planning on a genealogy trip in possibly a month. Where do you live? I'm sure he would love to meet you. My oldest daughter may insist on going with me.
Gibson--I jumped to a conclusion about James Gibson's wife. She is a Corrie from Dumfries, Scotland and possibly a descendant from Hugh DeCourci/DeCorrie, cousin of William the Conqueror. Scottish clans had people, who used the clan name if they lived within the boundaries of the clan, but were sometimes of a weaker clan under the protection of the strong clan. Hopefully, it will turn out that Eleanor Corrie is really a Corrie. I was not able to sleep last night, so I stayed up and read the DeCourci history and didn't see her name on the records; but I noticed the author sometimes left out a generation or two in places. Seemed to be more interested in telling about the ones, who made excellent marriages or were more famous. It's late and I must close. Iris
