John Gibson born September 16, 1760 Orange County, NC and died May 4,1844 in Lincoln County, TN. A Revolutionary Soldier (#S3395NC) He married Margaret Joyce born April 24, 1770 in Rockinghham County, NC and died October 31, 1848 in Lincoln County, TN. They are buried in the Gibson Cemetery in Fayetteville, TN. John Gibson's parents were Joseph Gibson, Sr. born 1734 NC and died 1789 NC and Elizabeth Hand born 1738 NC. Joseph Gibson's father was John Gibson, who was born abt 1715 and died in 1763. He married probably, Eleanor Carrie? John Gibson was the son of James Gibson, born 1686 in Dumfries, Scotland, and died (his will February 26, 1765 in Bedford County, Virginia. Thru which line do you descend from James, of Bedford? I have very little on Ziba Gibson, but would love to see what you have on him. I have another Gibson line. Thomas Gibson, Sr. born c. 1670/95. His will November 7, 1734 St. Martin Parish, Hanover County, Virginia. His daughter Mary md Richard Brooks, which is the couple I descend from.
I should have included John Gibson's birth date with the will. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
