The information you sent is just wonderful.I am looking at anything and everything about Col John Gibson and Chief Logan and the Greathouse and Myers family of Pittsburgh.
I have cemetery records that kind of tell another story. I believe these are the families of Lewis and Clark and of Sacajawea.
That if in fact these people buried together at Versailles Cemetery belong to Col Andrew Lewis and the Dunmore War.
I am mainly going by Dr Grace R Hebard paperwork that Sacajawea's grandchildren by John Baptiste had the last name of Myers.
What is interesting about this is in a book about the Lewis and Clark Expedition by Bill Yenne, he has a Charles Hebard as one of the professional boatman on the trip that belonging to the boat builders in Pittsburgh.
I have a record that the Myers family in Pittsburgh build seven boats for General George Rogers Clark who was William Clarks brother. The boats were paid for by Thomas Jefferson.Since this invoice is recorded in the General George Rogers Clark records, historians have a hard time trying to discount this record.
Historians have discredited Dr Grace R Hebart's work on Sacajawea for reasons they can't even explain. The best they can do is say Sacajawea, John Baptiste, Lewis and Clark are all common names. I question if they can be common together.
The "Land of the Three Rivers" may not be out West but in fact Pittsburgh, the start of the Lewis and Clark Expedition August 31 1803.
