Hi Val,
In the South Carolina Dept. of Archives database I found three properties mentioning Gibeon or Gibbeon Gibson in Craven County: the Stephen Dyer Laroche plat for 250 acres dated August 1, 1770; the Reuben Gibson plat for 200 acres dated February 14, 1771; and the Reuben White unrecorded plat dated June 1, 1772 and mentioning Gibbeon Gibson, Malakiah Murphee, and others. Have you seen these before? Is this a problem for your argument that Gibeon was not part of the Pee Dee bunch?
