You are a third cousin of mine.John Wiley Gipson was my grandfather, my father was George Roger Gipson and your great grandfather (James Monroe) was his brother.I have not been able to prove any native american ancestry.John Wiley was an interpreter for the indians in the Connel, WA area in the 1900's, they came to town once a year and stayed on his wheat farm a week or so while doing their trading in town.John's wife, Victoria (Higgins) Gipson was raised by and "old man and indian woman" from the age of 2 years(I have no names, etc.)I do have some additional information that may be of interest to you.Your Grandfather is the only family member that spelled the last name with a "b" that I am aware of.
