Follow-up... though I've been given information regarding this family, I'm still seeking to figure out more. Here is what I have, so far, on Christopher and his family:
Father: William Gibson (d. Bef. 1882)
Mother: Ann ????, b. @1830, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (widow in 1881 Census)
Children:
William, b. @1857, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (Solicitors Clerk in 1881 Census)
Christopher, b. Oct-1861, chr: 8-Dec-1861, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (Butcher's Ass't - 1881)
Bowman, b. @1864 chr: 10-Apr-1864, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (Grocer's Ass't in 1881 Census)
Mary, b. @1865 chr: 11-Jun-1865, Ambleside, Westmorland, England
Frank, b. @1867 chr: 08-Dec-1867, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (not listed in 1881 Census)
Elizabeth Anne, b. @1869, chr: 30-Nov-1869, Ambleside, Westmorland, England (not listed in 1881 Census)
1881 Census for Market Place, Ambleside, Westmorland, England:
Annie GIBSONHeadWFemale51Ambleside, Westmorland, EnglandGrocer
William GIBSONSonUMale24Ambleside, Westmorland, EnglandSolicitors Clerk
Bowman GIBSONSonUMale17Ambleside, Westmorland, EnglandGrocers Assistant
Mary GIBSONDaurUFemale15Ambleside, Westmorland, EnglandScholar
NOTE: Though only a remote possibility, there was a William Gibson who married Ann Tinkler, 23-Jun-1855 at Skelton, Cumberland, England (closest match to the above couple found in IGI by location/date)
If so, father of William listed as William Gibson (Sr?).
Bowman Gibson listed in 1891 Census, age 26, b. Ambleside, Lodger in Fulham, St Andrews, London - ? Assistant (NOT Grocer's in this case)
William Gibson listed in 1891 Cenuss, age 34, b. Ambleside, Lodger in Fulham, St Andrews, London - Plumber
Based on this information, would suspect that Bowman was the Bowman Gibson who got married in Dec-1895 to ???? at Kensington, London, Middlesex, England.
By 1891, Bowman and William in London, Mary likely married or passed, Christopher off the "the Colonies", other children as yet unaccounted for post 1881, suspect passed prior?
