I think my husband's mother's family is related to your Giblers. Her family has traced its tree back as far as a Phillip G. Gibler, born 1776 in Virginia, married to Ebba McCoy, born 1783 in Ohio. They had Samuel, born in 1801 in Highland County, Ohio, who married Jane Farish in Ohio. They gave birth to Eli Abraham Gibler in 1820 in Highland County.

Sounds like the same Phillip Gibler who was a brother of one of your ancestor. I don't think anyone in my family has a part of the tree that doesn't relate to Phillip's direct descendants, but there are too many similarities for it to be mere coincidence.

I'd love to get any info you have about Phillip and/or others in the family. This sounds like a chance to go back beyond Phillip in our tree.

If I can be of any assistance to you, let me know. We are having a family reunion this summer and I might be able to find out more. And it would be wonderful to be able to share more of the Gibler past with the Gibler presents!
