Lt. John Gibbs - Burgess at Jamestown
The John Gibbs who served as a burgess representing John Wards plantation in July and August 1619 and was also known as Lt. John Gibbs, died on March 22, 1622.
This Lt. John Gibbs, who moved to Westover and setup his own dividend of land, was killed with a dozen others at his plantation when the Indians attacked.
There seems to be some confusion between this Lt. John Gibbs and the John Gibbs who was a partner with Christopher Stafford who lived at Jordan's Journey.
