immigration records John Henry Gibbons around 1870s

Thomas Gibbons And Mary Connelley (Conley) parents of John Henry were probably from South county Mayo and these Gibbons' were supposedly shopkeepers or maybe trademan but not farmers

Their Son John Henry Gibbons born county Mayo 9 June 1853 died 12 April 1911 (in Joliet IL)

Married in Joliet IL in 1880 so had to have immigrated to ILL (probably through Chicago) between 1860 and 1879.
No record of parents or siblings leaving Ireland.
Became a steel worker.

Looking for information on his immigration (the year, the ship, where it left from) in order to trace the parents in Ireland.

Any help/suggestions?
