I have a Henry Charles Gibbons/Givens that was born in Hawkins Co. TN 1826 later moving to Lee Co. VA. I am looking for his father who is a Thomas Gibbons and mother Rachel( dont know her maiden name) and I have absolutely come to a dead end.There seems to be so many Thomas' in this area but I cannot connect him to any of them and it is so frustrating because he just has to fit into either the Givens family of the area or the Gibbons of that area.So I know how you feel. Do you know of any of your ancestors who come from the area of Hawkins/Hancock or even Claiborne counties in TN? Jolene Notify Administrator about this message?
