My mother's family lines include a Tilson who evidently married a GIBBON maybe in VA, maybe in England, ca mid 1700s. I know that there is a Tilson Gibbon(s) Credle somewhere in the mix, but I cannot find anything out about either of these surnames, either in Hyde County or in what research I have been able to do in VA. Can any Gibbon(s) researchers give me a clue or some help?
