James Gibbons married Obedience Griffin 22 APR 1828 in Franklin County, NC.
I believe that this couple are the same James and Obedi Gibbins found in the 1850 Surry County, NC census. James was born about 1806 and Obedience about 1796. They are listed with son Elbert, age 17 and daughter Nicy, age 10. They may have had other children as well.
I would appreciate any info about this couple--parents, sibs, or children.
