I am trying to discover the parentage of Catherine Gibbons (Gibbens/Gibbings) b. Oct 1829, d. 18 Jun 1900 in Surry, NC. She married Ephraim Desern (Desarn/Dezern)17 Nov. 1846 in Surry, NC.

One clue I have is that one of Catherine and Ephraim's children, Nat, is living in another household at the time of the 1880 census, where he is listed as nephew. This household is presumably that of Catherine's sister, Mary A. Moore, widow of Henry Moore. Also in the household is Beada Gibbings, age 86, listed as mother. Does anyone have information about this Beada Gibbings?
