I am trying to find a William GIBBINS b app 1852 in London. He was in the Indian Army and then came to South Africa to fight in the border wars.He married and settled here. He had two sons who did not produce any children. He in turn was the only son so the line died with him.
We believe his family were in the royal household. All his medals and papers were stolen so we have no idea of regiments etc. His father could also have been william (Henry?)as this was his eldest sons name and there are no henrys in the other side of the family
Can anyone help?
