Hello Joseph,
Just trying to help you with your query. No relation.
You never mentioned where your grandfather Jacob was born.
I did a census search=1930 to see if there were any Jacob Gibbens born c.1926.
I found one that could be your grandfather Jacob.
He was born in Illinois, and living with his parents and siblings in Decatur,Macon, Illinois,in 1930.
This Jacob had two younger siblngs acc to 1930 census = Robert and Dolores. Their parents were Cecil and Opal.
Cecil's Occupation is listed as Carpenter/Contractor born in Indiana.
Opal was born in Illinois as were the children.
Census was taken April 3rd,1930.
Jacob aged 3 & half yrs old..

I found Cecil in the 1920 census also for Decatur +
found Cecil in 1910 census with his parents and siblings in Clay Co, Indiana. I haven't look further back.

I have saved the census records and can send as attach email if you wish.

Patrick.
