I found the following information from an 1850 census for York Twp, Steuben Co, IN:
Frederick GIBBENS 45, OH
Anna 37, OH
David, 20, OH
Susannah, 17, OH
John, 15, OH
Katherine, 12, OH
Christina(e), 10, OH
George, 8, OH
Andrew, 6, OH
Lydia, 4, PA (but she was born in OH)
William, 4/12, PA (born in IN)
There were two more children born by the 1860 census; James Alonzo and Olive.
I found David GIBBONS, 30, married to Sarah, 23, with one child, William O, 5, on the 1860 census for York Twp; Switzerland Co, IN. This David is the right age and lives in the right area (although Frederick and the younger ones live in Williams Co, OH in 1860). Does anyone know anything about this David and Sarah GIBBONS?
