I know a little information on Maria Wilson. She was my gg-grandmother. She was married to John H. McElhaney in Independence Twp., Beaver County, PA where they raised six children:
1. Alexander Gibb McElhaney m. Clara ?
2. George Washington McElhaney m. Elizabeth McConnell
3. Sarah Elizabeth McElhaney m. Henry Hineman
4. Nora Blanche McElhaney m. Frank Bernard
5. John Wilson McElhaney m. Hazel ?
6. Lester Leroy McElhaney m. Rosa Belle Green
A couple of months ago, I visited the Beaver County Genealogical Society in Beaver Falls to try and learn more information about Maria Wilson. The only piece of information I could locate was on a hand-written pedigree chart that someone left which stated her father to be Thomas Wilson - no dates or locations, just that name. I have not been able to verify or refute the information. My assumption is that her parents died before she was grown, but I would love to know more.....like, did she have any brothers or sisters? No one in my family can remember that far back and there seems to be no other information. Her husband John McElhaney died very young and she lived the rest of her life with her daughter Nora Bernard in Findley Twp., Allegheny County, PA.
