Can anyone involved in Gibb genealogy help with information on an ALEXANDER RAE GIBB Tea Planter in Assam India - with the Jokai Co. Died 19th Oct 1945.
He,I believe, married my mother Jane Warre-Dymond between 1942-44 in India.
He possibly had a sister Margaret (Meg) who lived with her husband Austin Sandford at 48 Hanover Gardens,Oval,London in the 1950s
I also have a JACK & FLO. GIBB at 14, Hilton Place, Aberdeen written in an old address book of my mother's. Could this have been a brother?
Apart from this ,the only thing I have is that he came from Aberdeen area.
I also have an "Efficiency Medal" issued to Tpr. A.R.GIBB AVLH AFI (Assam Valley Light Horse Armed Forces India )
I would like to find out ANYTHING about this man; my step-father; when & where he was born, his parents, etc etc
