I saw your postings regarding the Giannini's from Lucca. My great grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Giannini, whose parents were John Wesley and Mary Samuel (Parrish)Giannini. John Wesley's parents were Nicolas and Amanda "Polly" (Pace) Giannini of Woolen Mills, Albemarle, VA. Nicolas' parents were:

Giovanni Antonio Giannini, born Abt. June 15, 1747 Fibbialla Dei Canonici Camaiore, Lucca, Italy, died 1825. Wife Maria Domenica Modena, born Abt. April 02, 1747, died Aft. 1820 Nelson Co. VA. Marriage November 26, 1770 in Fibbialla Dei Canonici Camaiore, Lucca, Italy.

Giovanni Antonio's parents were Nicolao Giannini (of Corsagna, Tuscany, Italy) and Maria Settina Matelli (of Fibbialla, Lucca, Italy). The only reference I have to Nicolao Giannini's parents is his father who was yet another Giovanni Antonio Giannini born between 1690 - 1700, Corsagna, Tuscany, Italy.

There is a book called the Giannini's of Virginia (who decended from Lucca). If anyone is interested I can send a link to the family website.
