I have some handwritten sheets my Uncle left me. Most of his info was verbal from my Grandmother and "Granny Annie" her mother.
He wrote of William H. Geurin/Emma Nevins
"1880 census listed William and family as living in Cooke County, Texas. 1870 census listed him and his brother and sister also in Cooke county. His parents weren't listed. (Gainesville Post Office)
Children.
William Albert Geurin
John Geurin
Luthe Geurin
Charles Geurin
Ed Geurin
Mary(Geurin)
Corday(Geurin)there was also a Lena-either another sister or maybe it was Mary above"
There are notes of my Uncle Don's that some of these names came from Bonnie Geurin-Koster, his Aunt. Death record of Albert Geurin, state of Oklahoma, OK City Health Dept. Obituary of Albert Geurin. 1880 soundex TX- Wm Geurin in Cooke County. LDS library LaGrande OR Vol. 8 E.D. 116, sheet 41, line 13. 10/14/86 "viewed film"
I hope this helps. I realize the documentation is sketchy, but so far my Grandmother's "recollections" seem pretty accurate.
