Thanks for your update.
I am wondering if this Emilie Göttel born at Arat was married to a Hermann Schmidt. This lady was born on 17 October 1903.
I am curious to know why she was naturalised as she was born in Canada which should have made her a British subject automatically especially if her father became one before her birth?
BTW, my father's paternal grandparents, Ferdinand Zurowski (1850-1919) and Rosalie 'Rosi' Bayerle, settled at Arat, Assiniboia district, Northwest Territories, Dominion of Canada in 1898. They remained there until their deaths and are buried in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic cemetery there.
Ferdinand's mother Theresia Karst (1827-1911) was the daughter of Margarethe Göttel who was probably born in Austrian Galicia while the family was awaiting settlement in Austrian Bukovina. Margarethe was a Lutheran, but married into Roman Catholic Karst family and via her I am related to a great many Protestant Bukovina Germans in addition to the Roman Catholic ones I am related to via my mainly Roman Catholic Bukovina German and Polish lines.
Emilie Göttel and Margarethe Göttel were related to one another, though they belong to different generations of the same Göttel family.
Maybe I'll prove to be a cousin to your boyfriend yet.
