Hello Gerrish family!
I am descended from Benjamin Gerrish, son of Captain William Gerrish and Joanna Lowle or Lowell.
Benjamin married Elizabeth Turner about Sept. 24, 1696 - they had four children. Elizabeth is the daughter of Colonel John Turner who built the House of Seven Gables of which Benjamin inherited and passed to his daughter Lydia who passed it to her son Benjamin Browne who passed it to his heirs of which I belong, however my third great grandfather did not inherit anything because he moved from Salem, but his brother William Gray and sister Elizabeth did, I’d like to find any descendants of these folk. I don’t think Elizabeth ever married, but William married Hannah Collins daughter of Daniel and Martha or Patty (Searle) Collins - they had 11 children and he operated a grocery on English Street for many years.
I’d also like to know who the parents of Cpt. William Gerrish were? I know that Joanna Lowell’s father was Percival Lowell, but do you know who her mother is?
