An afterthought:
The silver cup might even have ended up in the possession of the Gerrishes I'm searching for: Abigail Gerrish, who married Roger Mitchell, and her sister, Sarah Gerrish, who married Roger Deering. They were the daughters of Robert Eliot Gerrish and his wife, Elizabeth, of Dover, New Hampshire, and Kittery, Maine.
I know whom they married but do not know where they were born or where they died. Nor do I know where their parents died.
Robert's father was a younger brother of the Captain John Gerrish, b. 1668, I wrote about in my previous message.
