re: Georgia "Germanys" moved to Texas

I have recently discovered that some of my Germany line (William J. Germany b. c1780 and Mary ?)moved to Texas in the 1850's. Even William J.'s wife, Mary, moved to Texas!!
William J. Germany died in 1842 and Mary is shown in Texas with the youngest son, Joseph, by 1860. I assume that she died in Texas. It appears that my line lost a good many males in the Civil War - they all vanish between 1860 and 1870. Any of you Texas Germanys looking for Georgia roots??
