Hi Sheila,
My maiden name was Sinn. I have an ancestor - great grandfather who was named John Sinn. The info I have is that he was born around 1870 in Schleswig-Holstein Germany, was married sometime between 1895-1898 in Iowa, and died in 1959 in Washington. I know he did arrive in America with a brother, but I would have to dig that info out. Hope this helps,
