Hi Robert.

Thank you for replying.

My family is Lutheran.

Both relatives settled in Kansas in Morris County in Council Grove. I have many postcards from David Litke's grandson from the 1910's in the Council Grove Area.

The relationship between these two relatives is that they are the two branches of my grandmother and grandfather's families.

David Litke's son John M. Litke had a son John M. Litke Jr., whose son is Elmer Litke, my grandfather. Elmer Married Dorothy Geisler, daughter of Paul Hugo Otto Priebsch. Paul was adopted (informally not officially) in America by Henry and Mary Geisler.

David Litke is buried in a family cemetary near Council Grove, and some relevant family history is available at:

My grandfather Elmer Litke is Brother of Raymond Litke, inventor of the wireless microphone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_A._Litke

I was wondering if the Litke's from Prussia were related somehow to Fyodor Petrovich Litke, the Russian explorer.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fyodor_Litke

Thanks,
Brian
