Hi,
I have a question about Rockenhausen. The earliest family record I have is from Frankfurt in 1676. My ancestor, Frantz Jacob Biegel, a shoemaker is being married. The record indicates that he is from Rockenhausen in Ober Pfalz. It doesn't make sense to me, I haven't been able to find and Rockenhausens in Bavaria. The Rockenhausen records prior to 1690 seem to have been destroyed by the French in the time of Louis the XIV. I have the image if you would like to see it.
