I'm sorry the message wasn't clear, I was trying to say that Peter, Elis & Michael had the surname of FRANZ, also with them was Elis BOOS. But wondered IF she was the Mother-in-law (check the ages). I'm not sure how Elis. Boos was related OR if she was...
Here is the source & what Information I have:
Emigrated to USA in May 26, 1854 from Prussia (Antwerp) to New York on board the ship: WM Layton. SOURCE: Germans to America, List of passengers Arriving - Vol. 7, page 210 edited by Glazier & Filby.
National Archives lists ship as "WM Payton" & M L Carpenter as Master. - Peter listed as age 40 & farmer, Elis, age 37, Michel age 9. Country listed as Prussia.
Elis. Kautz, age 58 listed as part of the group ? (Names # 26/29]
