CJ, just a couple of things: In German, "Elschen" is a nickname for "Elisabeth", just like in English "Betty" or "Liz" is a nickname for "Elizabeth". There is no such place as a "Goblenz". The name of the city is KOBLENZ. Lützel was an independent town that was annexed by Koblenz in 1891. And note its correct spelling: Lützel, or if written without the "Umlaut" (two dots) over the "u", Luetzel. The spelling "Lutzel" is incorrect (and would be pronounced completely differently). Are you sure that the marriage licence indicates Elisabeth's last name as "Schaffer", or is it "Schäffer"? Also, there is no such first name in Germany as "Garrit". There is also no such last name in Germany as "Owiss". These are all things you are going to have to clarify before you can proceed. Robert Notify Administrator about this message?
