Earl, as mentioned in my reply below, there is no such name in Germany as "Kunker". The surname you're actually thinking of is Künker, or if written without the "Umlaut" (two dots) over the "u", Kuenker. Assuming that Jobst Heinrich Künker was from the town of Essen (today Bad Essen) or a town nearby, then you are incorrect in having written: Jobst Heinrich Künker - Prussia. Essen (today Bad Essen) was not located in the state of Prussia in 1831. It was located in what was then the state of Hanover. You thus should have written correctly: Jobst Heinrich Künker - Hanover.
