19th century german rail system

I have a birth record from 1814 which states the child's father was a local train worker. The birth record comes from Görzke, Prussia. However, in doing research, I found the German rail system wasn't developed until the 1830s. Wondering if anyone might to be able to shed some light on this? Thanks for any help.
