Thank you for replying. My family is Catholic also. I only know that my gg-grandfather John Wieberg was b. abt. 1815 in Prussia. This is according to the 1850 Illinois, USA Census. The census does not state where in Prussia he was born.
The earliest record that I have found for him so far is the marriage record for John Webergh to Elizabeth Clizner on 10 July 1848. I am not sure where they were married.
I hope to find John Wieberg's ancestors.
