Hi Eileen,
Thank you for responding.
Which website did you get the information? I'm asking because I got my information from Castle Garden and it showed the 4 of them together.
I thought of CH and Elizabeth being a couple too and Wil and Peter their twin children but Elizabeth would have only been 9 when she had them so I ruled that out. It also occurred to me tht Peter and Wil could be twins or cousins.
I'm not even sure Peter is mine since we have no information on him before 1850 other than he was born somewhere in Germany and came to the United States sometime before 1850. Given his age when he died in 1855 of 34 it comes out that he was born in 1821. Also, on the ship information he would have been born in 1821.
He married Margarethe SCHWEITZER in 1850 and they named their children, Catherine, Mary, Margaret and Peter. Also, we still have males in the family named Peter.
Thank you for your help. I'll just have to keep looking.
Sharon
Peter has been our brick wall since starting the research on the SCHEIB/SHIPE family.
