Barbara Nelson 10/19/13
1930 US Census
Buffalo, Erie County, New York
Fleischmann, Geo. R., Head, aged 31, married, at age 24, b. Germany, parents b. same, immigrated 1924, architect
Fleischmann, Elizabeth, Wife, aged 29, married, at age 23, b. Germany, parents b. same, immigrated 1924
Fleischmann, Gertrude, Daughter, aged 6, b. Germany, immigrated 1924
Fleischmann, Lizbeth, Daughter, aged 1 year, 4 months, b. New York
They are in Amherst, Erie County in the 1940 census. Elizabeth Jr.'s name is given as Elspeth.
ellisisland.org has them arriving on December 10, 1923 aboard the Pittsburg out of Hamburg; last of Nuernberg; gives Hans Ochs of Nuernberg as their next of kin at home (no relationship given).Georg (George) gives his uncle, John Mueller in Atherton as his destination; Elizabeth gives her father-in-law, Mr. Theodor Krebs in Buffalo as her destination.
I suspect that when they were typing out the page, they got their lines mixed up across the two pages, so that it is George's father-in-law, Theodor Krebs, to whom they were destined, and John Mueller belongs to the passenger above them.Georg's birthplace is given as Nuernberg (which I believe should be Nueremberg), and Elizabeth and Gertrude were born in Berlin.
