Hi Judith I donít know if any of these Mullerís are some of the family you are looking forÖ They were found in GenForum first found in the Chicago Tribune MUELLER - Valentine Mueller, beloved husband of Marie Mueller, nee METZGER, at Altadena, Cal., March ?, 1919. Funeral services Rosehill chapel, Tuesday, April 29, 2 p.m
Chicago Tribune, October 3, 1903
MARRIAGE LICENSES. Marriage Fred Muller, Paulina Weyer...28-22
MARRIAGE LICENSES.
The following marriage licenses were issued yesterday:
Name and residence. Age. Edward Molier (? or Muller, or Mulier), Arlington Heights...21
All from the GenForum: my ggggggrandmothers name was Marie Muller (i cannot add the umlet over the u) born ca 1776, her parents names were Jacques and Anne Marie Huther Muller. i'm not sure exactly where she was born but she married Peter Vollmar. i believe he was born ca 1767 in Schmitshausen Germany in the Rheinlan-Pfalz area.

I don't know much about Baden...Mother used to speak of "By Baden" said it was like a state. She came from Alsaice Lorraine in a town named Merckwiller which she said was by Baden. Her parents were Fredrick Muller nee 18 Sept. 1865 in Buhl Alsaice Lorraine & Louise Nippert nee 28 March 1871 Kutzenhousen, Germany. Fredrick Muller (Mom's father)was the son of Johann Muller "Hans" nee 14 Dec. 1830 in Buhl, Bas-Rhin. Johann Muller's Father was George Jacques Muller.
Alsaice Lorraine is now part of France.
Don't know if this will provide a clue or not but sometimes a clue comes from strange sources. Good Luck
