I know this is an old post, but I only found it today. I am trying to find info on Jacob Kessel who lived in Massillon, Ohio starting in 1837. He died in Zanesville, on March 24, 1892. Two reasons for my search. He was an ancestor of my friend and I'm researching his origins for her. Plus, I believe that he and my 3X GGrandfather, Johannes (John) Boerner might have arrived in this country at the same time and possibly on the same ship. Mr. Kessel and John Boerner had several property dealings in Massillon in the mid 1800's. If anyone still has information to share, I would be estatic. I've been researching the Boerner Family for 14 years and have never been able to find the ship that brought him to this country!
