This is the general Germany message board, which is the correct message board for Posen. The general Germany message board is the correct message board for anywhere in Germany. But in your original subject line, you indicated that you mistakenly believed Lobsens and Güntergost to have been located in West Prussia.
Güntergost's Evangelical Lutheran church records were lost in World War II.
As to the civil registration of births, deaths, and marriages, Güntergost was served by the Registry Office (in German: Standesamt) in the neighboring town of DREIDORF, now known by the Polish name DZWIERSZNO WIELKIE.Dreidorf's civil registers have survived. The civil registers from 1876 to 1910 are with the branch of the Polish State Archives located in the city called in German SCHNEIDEMÜHL -- or if written without the "Umlaut" (two dots) over the "u", SCHNEIDEMUEHL -- now known by the Polish name PILA.The civil registers after 1910 are with the Registry Office (in Polish: Urzad Stanu Cywilnego, abbreviated USC) in today's Dzwierszno Wielkie itself.
Under Polish privacy laws, birth, death, and marriage records more than 100 years old are public records.Copies of birth, death, and marriage records less than 100 years old can be issued only to direct descendants of the person in question.
