No, but wanted more info from you to see how I could help.There is a project to photograph all of the headstones of South Africans who have died in the various conflicts, including WWI, online here:

Also, his name appears in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, indicating that he is buried in the cemetery in Ypres:

If he was born in South Africa, you might be able to obtain a copy of his birth or death certificate through their Home Affairs office:
