Jo, this is problematic, because there is more than one town in Germany called Rotenburg.There are also several towns in Germany spelt Rothenburg.The pronunciation is the same, "th" being pronounced "t" in German.So you won't be able to proceed until you do additional research and find out just which one of these towns Anna Wilhelmine Stövesandt -- or if written without the "Umlaut" (two dots) over the "o", Stoevesandt -- was born in.
As mentioned in my reply to your query below, just like the U.S. and Australia, Germany, too, has always been made up of STATES.Does the source of your information name the state the town was located in?Or does it include any other geographical designation at all, apart from simply the name of the town?If not, you have got a problem.
