Andrea, I would suggest as your next step contacting the New York City Municipal Archives and requesting a copy of Christopher Molitor and Annie Amelia Davis's marriage record.That should name the town in Germany where Christopher was born.
The New York City Marriage Index indicates that Christopher "Mohlor" (Molitor is misspelled in the index) and Annie Davis were married on September 26, 1867, in Manhattan (Certificate No. 5758).Here is the link:

There was no such thing as a "Methodist-Episcopalian" church.It was the Willett Street Methodist Episcopal Church -- the word "episcopal" simply indicating that the Methodist Church is governed by bishops.The building was sold in 1905 to a Jewish congregation and is still a synagogue today.
