i am researching the "STREITHOFER" surname.
Barbara Sophia STREITHOFER came to America in 1866. Shortly arriving in Syracuse New York, she married my grandfather Jacob SCHEEL. In the 1920 Census, she states she is from Hesse
HELP! Hesse, what, where? We think she was from Sigmaringen. My GGrandmother was from there. (we think) Judith (Julia) LIEHNER/LEONARD?
i will be in Sigmaringen in four weeks. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about researching in that big city?
MyGGradfather SCHEEL is from Bermaringen which is in Wuerttemburg
