Deciphering Possible German Signature from 1865
Posted by: Barbara Dennis (ID *****4333) Date: April 21, 2008 at 16:08:04

I have a copy of what is believed to be my gggrandmothers signature in German (also not sure of that). She claimed to be from the Hesse Kessel area of Germany but I do not know the exact location.

I have documents showing her signature on Orphans Court papers. Is there anyone on this board that would be willing to look at the signature and tell me the exact spelling she is using. My last name is Dennis but on these documents all the children sign their name spelling it differently but readable. Hers is not readable to me.

Any help that someone may be able to give would be great. Please contact me at scmunchkin47@aol.com and I can forward the document to you.

Again thank you
Barbara Dennis
