Robert, Again thank you for the leads.
I looked again at his passenger list and did not see the listing for nearest relative in country if origin.
According to the Illinois online data base the Naturalization records are sadley lacking in info. but will take another look at what they say they contain and of course there are many courts in Cook County that he could have filed in and where they might be stored at now.
Where did you find the marriage record?? and thanks for the info.
I called the Munster, IN. Police dept. where he retired from in 1953 as Chiefbut they did not have records that far back, so called Hammond,IN police where he worked for 23 years as a Detective and will call back next week as person was on vacation.
I looked for Terry & Dory's phone but no luck, I assume they are unlisted.
I have form for marriage and will send for it. I also am going to Salt Lake City in Sept to research and to my ships reunion from WW 11.
