I am trying to find the parentage of my gr grandfather- Emil Koch b.1 April 1833 in Hanover, Germany. He sailed to US on ship Goethe 19 Jan 1855. He went to Cairo, Illinois where he married Antke Margreta Janssen who was from Ostfriesland. Emil died 10 Nov 1883. He was a carpenter and builder. They had seven children the oldest was my grandfather Louis Heinrich Koch. I do not know where he was born or his parents names but I would like to. I notice you mention Celle and if that is the name of a town my brother flew the Berlin Air Lift and was stationed at Celle. Appreciate any help.
