I should add, I have come across a list of marriages in Oldendorf from 1677 - 1851 with a number of Hagenahs listed. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate an online list that might include Johann and Metta's marriage in 1869. I did find an old message for another discussion group with the suggestion to write for the parish records. It lists the following addresses:

Ev.-luth. St. Marien Kirchengemeinde
Pastorenweg 4
49324 Melle

Gesamtarchiv der ev. luth. Kirchen Osnabrück
Attn: Frau Hinkelammert
Arndtstr. 19
49080 Osnabrück

Does any one know if these are still the best options for researching parish records?

If I can verify a location for the Hagenahs, I may have a better chance of placing my Deden and Bove relatives. I'm assuming the families may have known each other in Germany, because I haven't uncovered how they would have met once in the US. The Deden family settled in Nebraska 12 years before the Hagenah family settled in Minnesota.

As in the previous message, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
