Gretes

I'm looking for information about the Gretes in Hannover, Germany. There were 5 siblings and at least two came to New York in the 1840s. (John and Fred Grete) I haven't been able to learn anything about their parents or other siblings. They say they came from Hasbrouck, Hanover, Germany. I haven't been able to locate that particular town. Any information would be great. I have seen a George Grete that moved to Iowa about the same time, but haven't been able to make the connection.
