Thank you, the info I have is difficult to read. I believe that the correct spelling is Altona. Now I have to find a location in the state of Hannover. I really have a stone wall to climb over with respect to my Haverbeck family. In the ships manifest the name is spelled Haverbeck, but in other records it is spelled Haferbeck. My grandmother was born in Hoboken NJ and whoever wrote her baptismal cert spelled the name with an f on one certificate, and with a v on the other. There are 2 baptismal certificates one in German and one in English. Wilhemina Henriette
Matilda Haferbeck born November 27, 1880-English Certificate. Minna Anna Henritte Matilda Haverbeck born November 27, 1880-German Certificate both from St Matthews
Luthern Church Hoboken New Jersey. Parents Gustav Haverbeck and Katharina Meta Nissen. Sponsors Anna Nissen,
Marion Haferbecke ( again the spelling of the name is corrupted). I really need some help here. again thank you.
