Hi,
This should give you some idea of the time it took.
Some of my ancestors left Bremen, Germany on May 22, 1831. They arrived in Philadelphia on August 8, 1831. It is said that the trip was rough with high winds and storms at times. At other times, there was no breeze to fill the sails. It took eleven weeks. The fare was $60.00 per person.
