Question for ROBERT T.
In 2006 I hired a researcher in Boblingen near Stuttgard who did a great job of locating one of my great grandmother's line. She was born in 1826 in Leonberg, and the only church there documented some of her ancestors who came from Flacht and Neuweiler c. 1750.
I am getting ready to extend my search further back, and my info was that the small village of Flacht of 1767 is today a part of the town of Weissach, Northwest of Leonberg.
My question for you, is there more than one town or village of NEUWEILER from the 1760-and earlier era near Flacht & Leonberg ?
His advice was that Neuweiler is today part of Weil im Schonbuch (Martin's Church).
However, on Mapquest I found another village of Neuweiller between Simmersfeld an Bad Teinach.
Also could you reccommend a good historical reference book showing maps of the region of central Europe over the 1600-1850 era.
You are a very valuable resource person, and I must say we are all blessed for your help on the German sites. I read all of your messages, and have learned so much.
MANY Thanks,Sue
